8 Guidelines to a healthier you

They say that being healthy is easier nowadays since you have many choices to choose from.  This would ensure us a longer life pan especially; we can easily control our insulin and leptin levels.  But, we also need to remember that having healthy lifestyle is not just about exercise as there is more to it than that.  While it is true that exercise would help us live a healthy life, there are others that we also need to consider if we want to have a body that is free from diseases.
Guidelines help us to do better and here is one that would help us to become healthier.

Here are a few guidelines that we can follow to achieve a healthy body:

  1. Eat organic foods as that would help us to become healthy  This is a must if we want to be healthy and live longer.
  2. Stress is a culprit to many diseases, so we need to avoid that – Thus, by suppressing stress, we can have a longer and healthier life.  To do that, we need to exercise regularly. 
  3. Don’t forget that vitamin D are essential for our body -  You can easily get it from the sun, but there are times when the sun doesn’t shine, so we need to get it from other sources.  During these times, we can turn to vitamin D supplement, which supplies us with the required vitamin we need. 
  4. Antioxidant food – Eating antioxidant food would help ensure your body against anything that would harm your body.  Foods that are antioxidants are blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, blackberries, beans, artichokes as well as cherries.
  5. Resveratrol is beneficial to our health – We can get this from eating peanuts, mulberries, whole grape, and raspberries. And yes, it is also available in wine, but wine would be bad for you if you drink many since it has neurotoxin that might poison your brain in the long run.
  6. Coconut oil is an anti-aging food that isn’t expensive at all – It helps reduce cholesterol, which is the culprit many known diseases. You can either eat it or apply it to your skin. Some people use it to replace butter, shortening or margarine in cooking.
  7. Moderate exercise should not be forgotten It help prevent or delay hypertension, obesity, heart disease and osteoporosis as what have been proven in numerous studies.  In some cases, it also helps to delay premature aging.  Any exercise would be beneficial of your health, so you need to start as early as possible to see some results early in your life.
  8. Avoid pharmaceutical drugs as much as possible.  Yes, they are beneficial in controlling disease, but too much use and that would only result to more problem.  If you are into healthy lifestyle, there is a pretty high chance that you won’t need pharmaceutical drugs.

5 Eating habits to live a healthy lifestyle



Who would want to be healthy?
Many of us would say that they would want to be healthy, but they don’t follow a healthy lifestyle.  You see, the problem is already in front of us, but we don’t see it.  If you would write about what you eat daily then you probably figure out what is wrong with your diet. 

Basically, we all know that junk food is bad for us, but even so, we keep on eating it.  We are already used to the taste that taking junk food out of the equation would be too hard for us.   Now, if only we could condition ourselves to eating healthy snacks like fruits to replace junk foods then that would be a great start.  If you are looking for a change then you should read more about this article because this article has five suggestions on how you could eat healthier.  Here are 5 ways to do that:


  1. Get it out of your sight

If you can’t see it then you won’t have a chance and be tempted to eat it.  Most of us are easily tempted with foods that we see.  It just means to say that we won’t be tempted if we can’t see it.  Before you go shopping, you need to eat, so that you won’t be tempted by those junk foods at the supermarket.   

     2.  Buy fruits and vegetables



It is not easy to control your appetite as most of the time, you found yourself snacking.  If you only have fruits and vegetables on your fridge then you won’t have any choice, but to snack on those fruits or vegetables.   If you are tired of eating fruits then throw in some cereals in your diet by adding the fruits to the cereals, together with milk.  You won’t need to add sugar since fruits are already sweet.

3        3.  Make a compromise
Chances are, you are following the American diet that is consists of lots of salt and sugar.   It is almost impossible to stop this kind of diet since you are already used to it. Here is what you can do, try to include some fruits into your diet.  Let’s say that you want to eat pizza, just eat a slice and include some fruits to go with it.  Overtime, you would see that your diet would be change.

4        4.  Drink lots of liquid
There are times that we tend to confuse hunger with thirst.  Whenever you feel hungry, try drinking lots of water then you would lose that hunger.  Now, if your hunger returns after a short while then you really need to eat food.  

5       5.    Don’t forget the supplement
We are busy with our lives that we often neglect to eat healthy.  Other times, we just don’t have the option to eat healthy food since there are no were to be found.  This is where supplements takes place as we can get the same nutrients from supplements.  But, don’t forget to eat fruits and vegetables as taking a supplement is just another option for you if there are no fruits and vegetables to eat.

We all know that we need to eat right, exercise and take vitamin supplements to have a healthy lifestyle, but that is not complete without a healthy home.   What?  A healthy lifestyle is complemented with a home that fits its need, which means that you are going to get the support that you need from everyone around you.  How can you do that?  Simple, you need to choose and use green cleaning products – one that has no chemical in it.

Everyone wants to be healthy and who would want not to be?  Being healthy means that you can enjoy your life more and you get a longer life to live.  But, that is not as easy as said since there are temptations everywhere you go and it is easy for anyone to go on with the society and live an unhealthy lifestyle.   Of course, if you would ask anyone if they want a healthy lifestyle then the answer would be the same, yes.   
Oftentimes, starting a healthy lifestyle is not easy, but it needs to be done or you won't see any results at all.

Here are five options to kick off your healthy lifestyle:


  1. Pick the results you want in a healthy lifestyle.  Lots of people dream of losing weight and they believe that healthy lifestyle would help them.   Well, that would be a good start, but you need to keep at it all your life not just to see results, but to reap the rewards of having a great body.  For this, you can go out of your home and have a walk for starters.  If you have been doing that for some time then you can go to the gym and enroll yourself.  Of course, you need to keep up with your program or you won’t see the results.  
  2. Fast Food or Health Food.  You can see a lot of fast food almost anywhere you go, but not all of them are serving unhealthy foods since some of this food chain are adapting the healthy lifestyle.  They are concentrating on serving the people who want to be healthy thus they serve foods that are fit for a fitness buff. 
  3. Gym and Outdoor Sports.  Gyms are almost everywhere and you can find one close to your home.  Most of the time, you would have the options of choosing which gym would you want to go.  If you want a healthy lifestyle then you need to exercise regularly and that is where gyms come in.   They got most of the equipment to help you out with your health endeavor.  Remember that a gym is not only a place to exercise, but also a great place to socialize with other people with the same goal.  
  4. Social Activities.   You need to get involve with social activities since you can get motivated with your healthy lifestyle.  Of course, you need to get with other people, who share your passion.  It doesn’t matter if they are friends, office mates, or family as social activity will help you to create a strong bond with them while making you healthy. 
  5. Doing Research.  Before doing anything else, you need to do your research on what you should be doing.  That way, you would know what you can expect from an exercise routine.  You need to ea the right food and do regular exercise to get the results you want.

The right approach to a healthy lifestyle



Wanna know how to know the lifestyle of a person?  You just need to look at his body and you would know at least most of it, if not the whole thing about the person.  You can easily if a person totally loves his/her self and totally cares about their body.   Of course, those who don’t care about their well being often are the ones that are out of shape.  The last type of person can be mostly seen on the restaurant and eating uncontrollably.  They eat the worst food and don’t do any exercise at all.

Of course, there would be people saying that “You don’t know me, so you can’t judge me”.   Well, that might be true and I can’t say anything against that since that is not my profession.  However, my personal opinion matters to me and no one stop me from voicing my personal opinion.   I believe that genetics has something to do and that is truly funny.   You might have some friends, who are skinny though, they eat more than what you eat.  Personally, I got some friends, who are like such and they are not even getting bigger.  On the other hand, some of my friend, who are constantly dieting are getting even bigger.  Below are two reasons, which I believe affects the two guys mentioned.


  1. Well, the simple reasoning is that the skinny friend of mine is always moving while the other guy does nothing most of his life.
  2.  Another one would be the food that they eat most of the time.  The skinny guy eats healthy food, so it easier for the body to burn it.  However, junk foods are unnatural and they are harder for the body to use.

So, what do you need to change in your life if you want to be healthier?  As mentioned before, start with your eating habits.  That does only mean to count the calories you intake daily. Meeting calorie goals for the day doesn’t translate to being healthy.  You also need to watch what you eat since that would come bit you at the end of the day.  If your diet includes lots of candies and anything unnatural then you are not helping yourself to be healthy at all.  If you want to be healthy then eat foods that would make you healthy such as fresh fruits & vegetables, lean meats, and high protein foods. 
 
If you live to be healthy then you live longer to be happy.
Don’t forget to do some workout.  In fact, it would be help a lot if you start as soon as you can.  You need to move to burn those fats off your body.  No, you don’t need to do the exercise routine of an athlete as they have done that for a long time now.  Their bodies are already used to the hard exercise routine they are in.  You, on the other hand is only starting to work out and there is no way that you can compete with them.   Start by walking around your neighborhood every morning.  As you notice that you can walk further, try adding other exercise into your routine. Overtime, you would see the change in your body.  It won’t happen overnight as you need to constantly do it to see some improvements. 

Remember that good nutrition and exercise are a good way to become healthy.  Eating habits would make the 80% of how you look while the 20% comes from exercising.  These are the foundations that would help you to become healthy and would give you that body you be dying to have.
